Who We Are

/Who We Are

To create a Nigeria where all orphaned and vulnerable children can grow up in an affectionate and supportive community whilst still having their self worth and human rights upheld and valued.

The journey of a thousand miles begin with ONE step: While we realise that WE might not be able to solve all the world’s problems and sometimes this journey will require stretching and pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones, our aim is for a positive future for every child we support and care for; allowing us to leave a lasting legacy far and beyond any worldly goods. We want every child to realise their full potential whilst still having their self-worth and human rights upheld and valued.

There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its CHILDREN”. Nelson Mandela

Maami Foundation aims to create a solid foundation in the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children (OVCs) irrespective of tribe, religion and gender in Nigeria. By partnering with already established Not-for-profit institutions, foundations and governing bodies in Nigeria, we plan to change the lives of children who do not have access to what we deem as the most fundamental basic needs and working to eradicate these shortcomings by implementing sustainable initiatives vital to enriching their lives with the resources we have. At the core of our work, we offer support to three missions, which we deem to be the most important and vital start to life.

MAAMI Foundation is a small grant-making foundation started from a personal tragedy. The Foundation awards grants to not-for-profit organisations and institutions in Nigeria that support orphaned and vulnerable children
